Qmee is a rewards program, and browser plugin, where you can earn money through searches and answering surveys. Currently, you can earn when you search with Google, Amazon, Yahoo and Bing – which may make it an appealing alternative to Swagbucks if you don’t want to change your default search engine (but why not have both?).

Most likely you’ll be able to maximise your earnings at around £1 a day, which you can withdraw via PayPal, bringing me to their next selling point – there is no minimum withdrawal – meaning you can withdraw your balance at as little as 1p!

Passive income?

Qmee definitely has the potential to be a source of (albeit very slow) idle, or passive income. Since you can earn money through Google searches, which you’ll likely be doing anyway, a lot of the earnings through this handy plugin can be thought of as idle.

I’ve found, however, that while they suggest on their FAQ that you search ‘naturally’, more of the money can be found by searching for businesses (see below for an example).

Having said that, I recommend you don’t just search constantly for businesses until you find something that earns you money – instead, search 4 or 5 times (things like Next, Debenhams, Currys, etc.) and if it doesn’t yield any earnings, wait an hour or two and try again. Otherwise, you run the risk of Qmee blocking you from earning anything through searches for a period of time, and you don’t want that!

Definitely a good source of active income.

Qmee offers surveys daily, and since you tend to earn around 50p per survey, I’ve found Qmee to be a decent way of earning online. As I said above, you’ll probably earn around £1 a day, which isn’t as good as, say, Opinion Outpost or Prolific for surveys, but it’s still something.

I absolutely recommend Qmee for anyone that doesn’t want to sink too much time into earning online, but also wants to line their pockets with a little extra change.
