The Pattern Trader is a trading program run by Mark Shawzin, an ex-Wall Street trader.

It’s designed to teach its students one of the most effective analysis techniques in the business – pattern trading.

You’ll learn proper risk management, how to read charts without needing hundreds of indicators (a so-called ‘naked chart’), how to decide when to, and when to not make a trade, and more.

The webinars are easily the most useful aspect of the program.

Mark provides regular 2-day trading bootcamps, weekly webinars discussing the markets, themed webinars (usually when he’s trying to sell a new course – like the Gold-specific trading program he recently started), and access to a huge archive of charts.

I’ve been following Mark with the Master Pattern Trader and Pattern Trader Accelerator packages for the past year, giving me weekly emails of trade setups, weekly webinar access and more. I’ve found it so useful I recently renewed my membership for a second year!

The weekly emails operate under a ‘set and forget’ philosophy. You set up the orders as suggested, and leave them until either your Stop loss or Take profit prices hit.

Every week Mark will talk you through his trading strategies in the webinar, and how he reads the charts, so there’s little to no expected knowledge and experience involved. He doesn’t even expect you to use any trading platform in particular, so use whatever you’re comfortable with.

He also offers an ‘Elite’ program which includes daily emails of trades, in addition to lifetime access to the webinars and the web archive, but it’s currently a little out of my price range, so I’m sadly unable to offer an opinion on its usefulness. However, if the weekly program is anything to go by, it’s probably worth every penny.

The Pattern Trader is highly recommended for anyone wanting to improve their trading strategy, whether you’re just getting into the world of trading, or have been in the game a while and are struggling a little.
