The Idle Experiment is the culmination of everything I talk about on this site.

Here, I’ll be working from a balance of zero to see if it’s truly possible to turn life into an idle game through online earnings.

First thing’s first, I need to set things up. That’s what this ‘Day 0’ post will do. I’ll be using everything from the ‘Early Game’ section of the Resources page, plus a few others. Anything I use I’ll link to throughout the process, so I won’t have any unfair advantages over you, if you’re following along. For the same reason, I won’t list any affiliate or AdSense type earnings in this series of posts. If I ever decide to do that, those posts will have to find a different home!

I can’t stress enough that initially, this won’t be exciting, or quick.

In fact, I’ll probably only be earning a couple £’s a day while I come to grips with what works well and what doesn’t. However, this is an ongoing experiment, and hopefully in a few months’ time, all the hard work (and survey filling!) will have paid off.

1. Set up Smart Panel, installing the app on a phone and a PC. This is super important, because it earns a steady £4+ each month, so the earlier this is done the better.

2. Download Embee Meter CX, Slidejoy, Panel App, and Cash Magnet. A bunch of passive income generating smartphone apps.

3. Sign up to Swagbucks, install the Swag Button, cringe a little at the name.

4. Sign up to Qmee, install the app, complete survey profile.

5. Sign up to Opinion Outpost and complete survey profile. This will be one of our ‘big earners’ in the early game.

6. Create a Bitcoin Wallet at Xapo, and sign up to Freebitco.in. I’ll likely do a ‘test day’ for other Bitcoin faucets later on to see if it’s worth doing, but since this one has a small chance at a big jackpot, I’ll likely keep it up throughout.

I think that’s it!

Wish me luck, and good luck to you if you decide to follow along – I’d love to hear how you’re doing if this is the case.

Let’s see if we truly can turn life into an idle game.
